Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.
Proverbs 9:9

For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

The Year of the Bible
Sundays, 9:00 a.m. and all week

Over the next year, as a congregation, we want to make the Bible less intimidating, and more accessible. We want to explore, make new connections, and see where God leads us.

Beginning on Sunday, October 1, we'll explore one piece of the Biblical Story every week, together, as a parish. One moment, one step, one story at a time. We will use The Path, a book that excerpts and condenses the Bible, making it easier to read. In the pages of this book, we have laid out a clear trail, an easy-to-follow pathway, so that you can journey from one Bible story to the next and see how they connect to each other.

This is a great way to get a sense of the overall story of the Bible, a good start if you've always wanted to read the Bible but have felt intimidated. It will be a good refresher if you're more familiar with the Bible but need some reminders about how all the pieces fit together.

If you've always wanted to grow spiritually, and know more about the Bible, but have been afraid to ask - this year will your opportunity to grow.

If you have not received your copy of The Path, or are interested in a copy to give to family or friends so they can participate, let the Parish Office know at or by calling 627-2184.
